silentwaters: (light and shadow)
I open my eyes slowly, to the smell of salt air and the gentle crash of surf close by. I don't move yet, just laying there, listening, breathing in a little deeper to get my blood moving.
Through the gauzy white curtains of our hotel room, I can see the beach not 20 yards away, tiny waves glistening in the morning sun. The large sliding glass doors are open to the breeze, carrying the rustle of palm trees and the call of the occasional gull over the water.
It's so relaxing here...

I feel a strong arm slip around my chest, pulling me close. I smile to myself as I realize that there are no demands on me today; I can sleep in as late as I want, we have the whole day to ourselves with nowhere particular to be and nothing particularly responsible to do. If we want to order room service later we can. If we want to stretch out on the beach later we can.
If we want to just stay here in the crisp white sheets and explore each other's bodies.... we can....
I feel your warm skin on mine, and your soft kiss on the back of my neck... as your hand wanders... yeah, it's gonna be a good morning.
